To stop the confusion from players, I uploaded a version including the lastest Physics version but without the F430 and C8 Aileron. Have another look at the physics file, its really not right yet, id go as far as to say its problematic.Īs i said i haven't been able to try the fixes you did in the patch, but from what ive read of them they look great. Race up to the junction at about 80mph, swing it left, tap the handbrake, punch the throttle and opposite lock, then feather the throttle till its straight. i tried the physics for about an hour, got fed up with them, reverted back to the original physics and managed to do a perfect drift out of a T junction. Its really just the brakes that Must be looked at, the rest meh! maybe give it a little more of a tweak. The world physics themselves seemed fine, not that much difference from the original file.

What ever you did to the normal brakes do more of it or look how to tweak them a little better if possible, because i honestly didn't notice much difference. Whatever you did to the handbrake, undo it, the handbrake was fine before. Its not even a wide slide or anything like that, it spin almost on the spot. Now, if you just look at the handbrake funny it spins out on you, its like the handbrake button now launches an anchor out the back of the car.

With the original physics file you could give the handbrake a quick tap and it would make the back end step out, or you could hold it for about half a second and would cause full wheel lock. But by far the worst problem is the handbrake, guys that shouldn't have been messed with like that, its horrible. i was half expecting the brakes to be a lot weaker but still if i used more than about 1/3rd brake pedal i still got wheel lock up. The majority of the driving felt exactly the same. I drive with hardcore mode so i know it wasnt any aids that interfered. I tested using the zonda roadster, gumpert apollo sport and the mercedes clk 63. Personally I can see one of these in my future.I had a try with the new physics file last night ( i dont have the game unpacked so i can't try the rest yet ) and i have to say i wasn't really that impressed :sulk: We all know most Jeeps see more pavement than the trail and we cannot fault DCX for this revision. I think Jeep did a great job with the Unlimited, I resent the comments “It looks like a hummer” and “a real Jeep has 2 doors”. The 4 door is a little too long for aggressive off road driving but in my opinion it will be a perfect vehicle for a family or outdoor enthusiast that requires 4 doors or increased cargo area. The new JK was a pleasure to drive and will be both a capable off roader and grocery getter. Low range off road driving will not suffer with this new engine. I think the new engine is a good balance for the Jeep, after all, it is not a sports car. There was a noticeable lack of torque that we enjoyed so much with the old 4.0L. It seemed to need to shift gears often to accelerate or pull a steeper hill. I did find the engine capable but a bit under powered. There was a familiar feel to past Jeeps but more refined. The manners of the Jeep were stable and predictable. See picture below.Īs we hit the road I could immediately tell the new suspension and longer wheelbase made for a pleasant ride. There is a long tube that the fuel flows through to get to the tank.

An interesting thing I noticed was the fuel filler was on the driver side and the tank was on the passenger side. The Dana 44 rear axle with disc brakes and heavy fuel tank skid plate complete the Jeep’s underside. I was happy to see all the things that make a Jeep a Jeep in place. Naturally I had to lay down and check out the underside. The rear 60/40 seat folds down easily and extends the cargo area for storage of extra long items. There is plenty of room to spare and cargo capacity greater than a Liberty. The cargo area behind the rear seat is a milestone for the Wrangler. The X and the other Sahara were automatics. A few latches and some sliding locks and off the panels come! This Sahara was equipped with a dual top and a 6 speed. I checked out the whole removable sections from the new Freedom Top. It was cool to see the power window and lock controls. The storage space behind the rear seat is plentiful. The new Jeep is long, not quite as long as I though it would be from all the pictures I have seen. It was very unusual looking rearward from the driver seat and seeing so much space behind me. The controls were easy to reach and laid out in the right places. It still feels like a Jeep…cozy, but a bit wider and deeper.
